Killing Bites
Yuuya Nomoto tags along with the wrong crowd, and it lands him in a van with a kidnapped schoolgirl. Then his friends get torn apart in front of him by the girl they grabbed, Hitomi Uzaki. She is not helpless. She is part ratel, and ratels do not back down from anything. He drives where she tells him to drive, because the alternative is obvious. Turns out he was never the driver. He was the prize. Two animal hybrids tear each other apart in an underground arena while businessmen watch, and Hitomi fights her way through it to keep him breathing. Yuuya wakes up hoping it was all a nightmare. It was not. Four of Japan's biggest conglomerates run this secret war behind closed doors, and whoever wins the matches takes the whole economy. Yuuya, the reluctant investor tied to Hitomi, is stuck with her now. Her next fight is his life. Can a guy who never wanted any of this survive long enough to figure out who is really pulling the strings?
