He wakes up in the infirmary with no wound and no explanation, so he shrugs it off and takes the train home like nothing happened. Big mistake. He opens the game again. It looks like any other mobile brawler, so he relaxes and starts his first match. Then his opponent walks through the door with a knife. Turns out this thing is played against real people in the real world, and nobody gets to log out until every rival is gone. Every player carries a sigil, some strange power they can use to kill, and points from each fight can be traded for actual cash. So now a seventeen year old kid is dodging knives on his way to school and hunting strangers just to stay in the game, all while searching for a way out that may not exist. How long can he keep playing before the game decides he is the one to eliminate?
