Magical Girl Spec-Ops Asuka

Three years ago monsters from a dead dimension tore through Earth and regular guns did nothing to them. Nine girls suddenly had magic, and they were the only thing standing between humanity and extinction. Five of them walked away from that war alive. Then the fighting stopped. Kurumi, Mia, Tamara and Lau stayed in uniform, scattered across different military outfits, still soldiers. Their leader Asuka hung it all up. She traded the battlefield for a school uniform, a desk, a normal life. Except the other side had survivors too, and when they come back, ordinary weapons still won't cut it. Asuka gets pulled out of the classroom and back into the fight she thought she'd left behind, and this time the enemy is worse than anything the five of them faced before. Can a girl who just wanted to be a teenager pick up her weapon again, or is the war already beyond saving?
