Kojou Akatsuki just wanted to get through high school in Itogami City, the island where demons and humans share the same streets. Now a teenage boy and the girl assigned to kill him are stuck together, dodging the chaos that keeps spilling into the city while he tries to figure out what he even is anymore. Around him, twelve familiars are said to follow in the wake of the fourth primogenitor, and their arrival could tear everything apart. So what happens when the strongest vampire alive has no idea how to use his own power, and the only one who can stop him starts to wonder if she should?
