Seven years ago, four kids stood by a lake and tried to call down a flying saucer. It didn't work, or so they figured, so they went home. Then Nonoka moved to Tokyo and the whole group fell apart. Nobody told them the saucer actually showed up. It's been hanging over that water ever since, silent, ordinary, a tourist spot with a gift shop and a view. Now Nonoka is back in her old town, and she remembers almost nothing. Faces, names, the reason she left: gone. Then she runs into Noel, a small girl in weird clothes who seems to know her. Piece by piece the memories come back, and so do the friends she walked out on, and none of them are happy to see her. Yuzuki, Shione, the twins, Koharu: they've spent seven years with a hole where Nonoka used to be. Meanwhile the thing in the sky is still up there, still waiting, and Noel is somehow tied to all of it. What exactly did those kids wish for, and what happens when the saucer finally answers?
