Something is prowling the streets of Paris and nobody sees it coming. If it gets its way, the whole city goes dark, everything good swallowed whole. Hope is already here, though. It just happens to live inside five young women who have no idea what they are. A nun still in training. An aristocrat who keeps her distance. A criminal who has seen too much. The daughter of a wealthy Japanese baron. And a woman who announces acts at a traveling circus. Five strangers with nothing in common, thrown together while the war grinds on around them. That is how the Paris Floral Assault Division comes to exist. Whether they can actually stand each other long enough to fight is another matter entirely. Can five women who would never share a table learn to trust each other before the darkness takes the City of Love?
