The fight with Nobunaga is done. New York settles back into its usual noise, and Shinjiro figures he can finally breathe. Then the owner of the Little Lip Theater drops the news: this time the leading lady is him. Not a typo. He gets stuffed into a dress, gets a name he never asked for, Petitmint, and somehow has to play Cleopatra onstage. He runs. The Star Division runs after him, all five boroughs, rooftops and alleys and streetcars, trying to talk him into the part. And this is when a young man with dark skin and a servant at his side walks into the middle of the busy city, saying nothing, staring at the Statue of Liberty with a quiet fury that does not belong to any tourist. So now the team has two problems and only one schedule. Stop whatever that stranger is planning before the city pays for it, and still get the curtain up on time. Shinjiro never signed on for either job. Can a guy in a wig really hold the line when the whole city is watching?
