A girl chases her cat through a mirror and the two of them drop into a dark maze that makes no sense. They follow a clown's shadow deeper in. Where it leads, nobody knows. In a future built for speed, a reporter digs into the story of Zack Hugh, champion of a race where drivers die. Ten years undefeated. When they finally meet, Zack is barely there, body and mind worn down to almost nothing. Then the next race starts, and Bob watches what a man and his machine do when there is nothing left to give. Somewhere in a jungle, a salaryman named Tsutomo is sent to shut down a construction site after the foreman vanishes. What he finds is a project running itself, robots that never sleep, and a chief machine that will not take his orders. His company is bleeding money. So what do you do when the thing you are supposed to switch off refuses to listen?
