A girl watches a rusted giant stomp through her town. Mechanical angels drift past ruined cities. In one segment, a wooden robot nearly starts a war. Somewhere else, a man builds a companion and gets way more than he asked for. Frankenstein's monster shows up too, but not how you remember him. Every short starts from the same spot: a human making something that lives. Some of them laugh about it. Some don't. The thing they built always ends up staring back.
