Akira Fudou let a demon named Amon inside him, and now he is Devilman. His friend Ryo was the one who pushed for it. Demons are real, and no human fist or bullet can touch them. Only another demon stands a chance. So Akira got the power he needed, and it came with a price: a human heart stuck inside something that wants to tear people apart, and he has to live with both. Then the other demons find out what he is. They come for him, and they do not come alone. A turtle demon called Jinmen carries living human faces across his shell, people he has swallowed, and they cry out while Akira fights him. Every enemy is worse than the last one. Now a winged demon named Sirene is hunting him, and she is not like the others. Stronger, crueler, and she has been waiting for this. Akira has to reach for every last scrap of what he is just to survive the night. How much of himself will still be human when the fighting stops?
