Yashiro Isana is just a regular student at Ashinaka High, a school that sits on its own island. He eats lunch on the roof with a cat, runs errands for his classmate Kukuri before the school festival, nothing unusual. Then he walks out the gate and a strange man starts following him. A video is already spreading everywhere. In it, someone butchers a member of the Red Clan, and the face on the footage belongs to Yashiro. He has no memory of doing it. He has no idea why anyone would think he could. That is when Kurou Yatogami shows up, a swordsman people call the Black Dog, bound to the wishes of his dead master and looking for the same man everyone else wants dead. Yashiro has to prove he never killed anyone, but his own memories start growing clouds, and the friends who have known him for years begin to wonder if he even exists. Above all of them sit the Kings, people with powers that let them pull others into their clans, and the Red King Mikoto Suou is running out of time while the hunt for Yashiro closes in. What began as one murder is turning into a war between Kings. So who really put Yashiro's face in that video, and why does he feel like he has lived this before?
