A virus tore through Japan on Christmas Eve, 2029, and the country has belonged to the GHQ ever since. Ten years of checkpoints, experiments, and no say in anything. Shuu Ouma just wants to get through high school without tripping over his own tongue. Then a girl climbs through a warehouse window, and she happens to be Inori, the singer whose songs he plays on loop. She is on the run, a vial in her hands that the GHQ would kill for, and when the soldiers corner them, that vial shatters against Shuu's palm. Something pours into him. Now he can pull weapons straight out of other people's bodies, and the resistance is suddenly very interested in this awkward kid nobody ever noticed. The power comes with a cost he has not even started to understand, and the people around him want it for very different reasons. Can a boy who cannot hold a normal conversation really hold a weapon that rips itself out of the people he is trying to protect?
