Just a kid with a sword on his back and a dream of being worshipped by millions. Then his weapon walks out on him. No warning, no goodbye. She's done babysitting a master who can't even land a decent gig. So Yato is broke, alone, and pretty much out of options. What else could go wrong? A bus. Hiyori, a middle schooler, shoves him out of the way and takes the hit herself. She lives, but something's off: her soul keeps slipping out of her body. She wants it fixed, and Yato says he can do it, but only if she helps him find a new partner first. So now a girl who should be worrying about exams is chasing spirits around town with a god nobody remembers. Can a team like that really climb from five-yen chores to something bigger?
