Hotaru Tachibana has a nose for trouble and a fist ready for anyone who deserves it. She also has a secret: the boy everyone sees at school is really a girl. So when her best friend Kanae gets scammed out of her money by some smooth-talking club host, Hotaru marches straight to the place to settle things. Then the scammer opens the door. It is Masamune Matsuoka, the same arrogant guy from the apartment next door. He does not apologize. He hands her a toy gun instead and challenges her to a survival game on the spot, and the loser pays for the wreckage she leaves behind. Hotaru loses, badly, and just like that she owes him. Her debt gets paid off on a team called Toy Gun Gun, where she is somehow expected to shoot straight, and she is honestly awful at it. The other member, Tooru, wants nothing to do with her. Still, something about the game hooks her. There is a tournament, the Top Combat Game, and these two have been chasing it for a while. Too bad Toy Gun Gun has a rule against female members. How long can a girl who fights like a boy keep her cover on a team that would kick her out the second they found out?
