The Beast Player Erin

Kemono no Souja Erin · 獣の奏者エリン
DramaFantasy2009Production I.GRating 8,313+HD

Erin spends her days in the village of Ake, trailing after her mother Soyon, who tends to the Grand Duke's war-lizards. The beasts are huge, bad-tempered, and dangerous, and Soyon is the only one who truly knows how to handle them. Then the strongest of them all falls ill on her watch. Just like that, the quiet life is gone, and the punishment that follows is worse than anything Erin could have imagined. She tries to save her mother. Instead she ends up in a river, pulled under and carried off toward a province she has never seen, where nobody knows her name. Now she has to build a life among strangers while a war between Shin-Ou and Tai-Kou rumbles closer in the background. What Erin really wants is the truth: about the lizards, about people, and about what actually happened back in Ake. The one thing she has going for her is a knack for getting through to animals that no one else can reach. Will that be enough to keep her alive long enough to find out what her mother was hiding?
