Natsu is sixteen, a girl who can barely speak up in class, and then one day she wakes up on a boat that is already filling with water. Five strangers around her, none of them with a clue how they got there. A storm is tearing the sails apart. That is her first minute in the future. The truth is worse. Scientists saw the asteroid coming years ago, so governments picked healthy young people and froze them underground until the planet could take them back. Martial artists, doctors, builders. The best of Japan, split into five teams. Natsu has no talent for any of it. No fighting, no engineering, nothing but a quiet voice she is too scared to use. The world she lands in is all clawed things and poison plants, and the group has one goal: reach the place marked Seven Fuji. So what does a girl who cannot even shout do when the screaming starts?
