Episode 2 · Zetman

Zetman

Two heroes collide in a ruined city, fists and tech against something neither of them fully understands, and only later do we learn where they came from. Jin Kanzaki looks like an ordinary young man until his body twists into something else entirely: ZET. Kouga Amagi has no powers at all, just a fierce sense of right and wrong and his family's corporation bankrolling the armor he wears as ALPHAS. One fights because something inside him demands it. The other fights because he decided to. Then you find out what they're really up against. The monsters are called Players. Killers with no minds of their own, just instinct, and every night the rich gathered underground to bet on which one would tear the other apart. A hobby, for them. Until the night it went wrong. The creatures broke loose, cut down everyone in the arena, and when the dust settled thirteen Players and two people had simply vanished. Jin and Kouga keep crossing paths, keep saving strangers who will never know their names, while the thing that made the Players traces back to the Amagi corporation itself, founded by Kouga's own grandfather. So who exactly is the monster here, and what happens when the two men sworn to protect humanity finally have to choose between each other?
