Sho Fukamachi is just a kid walking home when he stumbles on a strange metal object in the woods. Nothing special about him. No training, no destiny speech, no warning. Then the thing wakes up and fuses itself to his body, and suddenly he is Guyver: armored, armed, and strong enough to tear a monster apart with his bare hands. The suit won't come off. It won't listen. It just waits for the next fight. That first fight comes fast. Creatures called Zoanoids crawl out of the shadows, humans who can twist into muscle and claws and teeth, and behind them sits a group called Chronos. Sho has no idea what they want or why they are hunting him. All he knows is that his friends are standing right next to him, and that is enough reason to put the armor back on. But every battle drags him deeper into something much bigger than a turf war. Chronos is not just chasing one teenager, and the answers buried under their experiments point somewhere Sho is not ready to look: where humans came from, what they were made for, and who was doing the making. How long can he keep swinging before he finds out he was never supposed to win?
