Tenchi Masaki is seventeen, stuck in a sleepy village where nothing ever happens, and he's heard the family legend a hundred times: an ancestor sealed a demon in a cave seven centuries ago with a single sword. He figures it's a bedtime story. Then he finds the cave. Pulls the rusty blade. A blinding flash, and the demon is standing right in front of him: Ryouko Hakubi, a space pirate who's been locked up for seven hundred years and is not happy about it. She comes at him swinging. Somehow, he fights her off, and something inside him wakes up. Ryouko is intrigued enough to stick around, and that's when the chain starts. A stuck-up princess from the planet Jurai named Aeka shows up. Then Sasami, her little sister, who is much nicer. Then Mihoshi, a galactic cop with her head in the clouds, and Washuu, a genius who never stops running her mouth. Five alien women, one house, and Tenchi in the middle of it. Piece by piece, he starts finding out what his bloodline actually means and what his new power can do. Something out there is watching, and it's getting closer. So why did all of them come looking for him in the first place?
