Most of Japan is gone. The big quake left it that way, and now Tokyo is a jungle in the literal sense, all vines and crushed towers, pumping out the oxygen the rest of the planet is starving for. Up above it all sits Atlas, a tower for the rich and the chosen. Everyone else gets the trees. Then there's Kuniko, who runs with a crew called Metal-Age and has no interest in waiting her turn. A temple hides a kid named Mikuni with power nobody can explain. A soldier named Kunihito works for the very monopoly everyone else wants to tear down. Karin can move markets with a phone call. Ryouko Naruse sits at the top of Atlas and plans to keep it that way. Old secrets are buried under that tower, and they are not staying buried. Can a gang of outsiders and one soldier from the inside actually break a system built to keep them out?
