Kousaku Hata's whole world revolves around one pop star, Yuka Kusakabe. Then she quits. No warning, no final tour, nothing. Just gone, at the exact moment she owned every screen in the country. He locks himself in his room and refuses to come out until his friends basically drag him back to class. And there she is. Sitting at a desk. In his classroom. Yuka, only now she goes by Ringo Kinoshita, a transfer student like any other, pretending she never sold out arenas. Nobody else seems to get it. Kousaku gets it immediately, and he decides this is his one shot: get close to her, closer than anyone, and figure out what made a national idol walk away and enroll in some random school. His teacher and classmates are along for the ride, though most of them have their own reasons for sniffing around the new girl. Kousaku is not exactly subtle about any of this. So how long can Ringo keep her old life buried when the one person who recognizes her face won't stop staring?
