Ichiko Sakura has it all: looks, brains, money, and a knack for always landing on her feet. What she doesn't know is that her perfect life is running on stolen luck. Every bit of good fortune she soaks up is drained straight from the people around her, and the gods have finally noticed the imbalance. Then a girl with a permanent cast on one arm and a serious chip on her shoulder shows up at school. Momiji Binboda is the goddess of poverty, and she's been sent to take Ichiko's fortune back. Their first clash doesn't go her way, so she calls in backup: a teddy bear familiar and a dog god who seems to enjoy getting hit way too much. From then on, Ichiko's quiet days are gone, replaced by daily brawls just to keep what she has. She can't drain her way out of this one. So who runs out of luck first, the girl who never had any to begin with or the one who can't imagine living without it?
