Episode 4 · Gate Keepers 21

Gate Keepers 21

Thirty two years after the Invaders were beaten back, A.E.G.I.S is a ghost of itself. A handful of Gate Keepers left, hiding underground, still fighting a war nobody upstairs remembers. Ayane Isuzu is one of them, and she hates it. Hates the society she protects, hates the uniform, keeps swinging anyway. Not for duty. For her father. Pure spite, and it works. Then the Machine General and the Devil Count come back from the dead. Same two monsters, new trick: a ghost girl walks beside them, silent, and nobody knows what she is or why they keep her close. Ayane and the last scraps of A.E.G.I.S have to stop them. Again. But what happens when the thing standing next to your enemy knows you better than your own side does?
