The last Impact nearly wiped everything out. Shinji, Asuka and Rei wash up in Village 3, one of the few places on a broken Earth still stubbornly full of people. No Evangelions. No commands. Just a bed, chores, and days that repeat. Shinji starts to breathe again, slowly, and something like an ordinary life takes shape around him. Then WILLE's airship drops out of the sky above the settlement, and he climbs aboard. Because sitting still feels worse than fighting. NERV hasn't stopped. The Human Instrumentality Project is still moving, a new Impact is being prepped, and the fight that's coming is the one everybody has been dreading for years. Old secrets surface. Sides get chosen. And Shinji is back in a cockpit he swore he was done with. Can he really put an end to this, one last time, without losing what he just found?
