The Kifuuken dojo has one job: cut the arms off Shokujinki before those things eat anyone else. For centuries these flesh eaters have passed as ordinary people, right up until their claws come out. Toshihiko Momota was raised for this. Then he meets Yuka on a beach, blonde hair in the wind, and something in his chest gives way. She is one of them. His father dies at her hands. And still Toshihiko cannot bring himself to hate her, which is a problem when the school expects him to finish the job. Back home, his brother Kazuma is busy tearing up the old ways and dragging the dojo into the modern age, so nobody agrees on who the real enemy is anymore. Old debts, older curses, a family splitting at the seams. So when the moment finally comes, who does Toshihiko cut down?
