One night Kyousuke Date walks through his own front door and finds his mother bleeding out on the floor. She is dying. Then she pulls him close and drives a knife into his chest. He should not survive that. He does, fast, and the wound closes like it was nothing, which is the first sign that something is very wrong with him. Before he can even start asking why she did it, two groups come after him: the Hospital and the Kirihara Group. Both want the same thing, a twin sister named Runa he never knew existed. He tells them he knows nothing. They do not believe him. Then his body changes, and SoulTaker comes out, and suddenly the hunted kid is the one doing the hunting. He decides to take down both organizations, find out what his mother was really thinking in those last seconds, and keep Runa alive. But if his own mother put a blade in him to keep a secret, what exactly is he protecting his sister from?
