A quiet Sunday in Japan. Then the sky splits open and things called Septentriones start wiping out everything in their path. Hibiki Kuze and his friends are just trying to stay alive in the middle of it when they make a deal with demons. Sign the contract, become a Devil Summoner, and suddenly you can fight back. Their new powers don't go unnoticed. An underground group called JP's comes calling, led by a guy named Yamato Houtsuin, and before long these ordinary kids are standing shoulder to shoulder with other civilians who took the same bargain. Here's the catch. Every single day, another Septentrione shows up. Cities burn, people die, and the countdown keeps ticking. Seven days to clean house, seven days to figure out how to kill something that keeps coming back bigger and meaner. The summoners have to end each fight before the night is over, no matter what it costs them. Can a handful of kids with demon contracts really hold the line when tomorrow brings another monster and the clock never stops?
