Toraji Ishida, everyone calls him Kojirou, teaches kendo at Muroe High. He's also flat broke and permanently hungry. Then an old buddy from his training days throws him a bet: beat my team at the tournament and I'll feed you free for an entire year. Easy, right? One year of lunches. He says yes before his brain can catch up. Here's the catch. His dojo has exactly one girl who can actually swing a shinai. The rules want three for a team. Not warm bodies either. He needs fighters, girls who'll tear the other side apart and not apologize for it. So now the broke instructor is hunting the hallways for talent, and high schoolers are not lining up to get hit with bamboo swords. Who's going to fill those empty spots, and what happens when the free-meal bet runs into a bunch of beginners who have no idea what they signed up for?
