Miho Nishizumi comes from a family that has been driving tanks for generations. She wants nothing to do with any of it. So she picks Ooarai Girls Academy, a school with no senshadou program at all, and finally starts living a normal life with actual friends. Then the student council drags her back in: the school is entering the annual tankery tournament, and she is expected to command a crew. Her new teammates are a strange bunch. Mako drives like she is late for everything, Hana fires with terrifying calm, Saori runs the radio and the gossip, and Yukari knows every bolt on every machine they climb into. Nobody signed up for glory. They just want their school to stay open, because losing the tournament means losing everything. Miho has to face the sport that broke her, and her own family watching from the other side, certain that winning is the only thing that matters. Can a girl who swore off tanks ever learn to love the fight again?
