Subaru Hasegawa wants to be a basketball legend. That dream dies fast when his high school club gets shut down for a whole year, and the reason is absurd: the team captain fell for the coach's eleven year old daughter. So Subaru walks away from the game entirely, done with all of it. Then his aunt Mihoshi calls with a favor. Coach five elementary school girls at Keishin Academy. He says yes, mostly because he can't say no. The five of them are Tomoka, Maho, Airi, Hinata and Saki. Sixth graders with tiny hands and clumsy shots, and Subaru has to turn them into a real team. He shows up half hearted at first, just killing time. But the girls keep showing up too, day after day, chasing every loose ball like it matters more than anything. Somewhere in all that practice, the guy who swore off basketball starts caring again, maybe more than he ever did before. Now he's got one goal in mind: beat every strong team that stands in their way. Five kids and one reluctant coach against everyone else. Can a group of elementary schoolers really run the court, or is Subaru setting them all up for a fall he won't see coming?
