A single match on TV is all it takes. Shouyou Hinata watches a small guy they call the Little Giant fly above the net, and something clicks. He cannot stop thinking about it. In middle school he scrapes together a team from nothing, kids who barely know the rules, and somehow they reach their one and only final. Then Tobio Kageyama tears them apart. They call him the King of the Court, and he does not let a single ball drop. Hinata swears he will get even. He picks Karasuno High, the old school of the Little Giant, and walks straight into the gym. Kageyama is standing there. Same year, same team, same side of the net. Now the two of them have to figure out how to play together, which is easier said than done when one is stubborn and the other has never passed to anyone in his life. Hinata is short and everyone keeps reminding him of it. Kageyama has the talent and zero patience. Their teammates just watch and wait for the explosion. Can two people who hate each other's guts really become the strongest weapon on the court?
