Episode 21 · Argento Soma

Argento Soma

The 21st century was supposed to be humanity's golden age of space travel. Then the sky opened up and giants came down. They walk across the planet like it belongs to them, and everywhere they step, cities turn to rubble and people die. Takuto Kaneshiro loses the people closest to him in the invasion. He signs up to fight, but revenge is a messy business, and it turns out he can't do it alone. Allies are hard to find. Trusting them is even harder. Here's the twist: the aliens might not be the real enemy. As old powers collapse and new ones scramble for what's left, plenty of people are happy to profit from the chaos. Takuto starts digging for the truth behind the attack, and every answer he finds drags him deeper into something uglier than a straight-up war. The line between friend and foe gets so thin he can barely see it anymore. So who is he actually fighting? The monsters from the sky, or the people standing right next to him?
