A wasteland stretches to the horizon, and nothing human walks it anymore. Only machines, built to last forever. Then Luna dies, and the Ruin begins: metal starts to rust, joints stiffen, and no repair can stop it. The robots who once had all the time in the world now sit and wait to fall apart. One rumor keeps them moving. Eat Casshern, and you live forever. He wakes in a white suit with no memory of who he is or why he exists. Everywhere he goes, death follows, and the ones still standing come at him with teeth and claws because his body is the only cure they have left. Casshern wants the truth about the world and about himself, and he has to survive long enough to find it. What he finds instead are fragments of memory he cannot place. Something buried deep in his mind, something ugly. Will he keep digging if the answer destroys the last thing he has?
