Episode 2 · Alien 9

Alien 9

Yuri Otani just wanted to survive middle school. Instead she got handed a Borg, a squishy alien thing that rides on her back and makes her skin crawl. Every touch of those cold, wet tendrils sends a shudder down her spine, and she has to live with it. She hates aliens. She has always hated them. Then she is forced into the Alien Party, a club with one job: stop anything that tries to crawl onto school grounds. Her weapons are roller blades and a lacrosse stick. Kumi is steady and dependable. Kasumi is brilliant and full of energy. Yuri is the one who can barely breathe when something moves in the dark. The three of them keep fighting, keep chasing, keep pushing back things with claws and faceted eyes. But the creatures keep coming, and the fear never goes away. When the next one arrives, will Yuri stand her ground or freeze?
