Z/X: Code Reunion
A long war finally ends with a signature. Humans and the Zex, creatures who crossed over from five parallel worlds, agree to a shaky ceasefire, and everyone hopes it holds. Azumi Kakamigahara is not a soldier. She is a small, sickly girl, and she gets a partner anyway: Rigel, a cold-blooded Zex from the Blue World who barely says a word. Together they carry the fate of her peaceful home on their shoulders, which seems like a terrible idea until you realize nobody else is lining up for the job. Then the two of them arrive at Fujimisaki Academy, a school built for exactly these human and Zex pairs. Classes, drills, roommates, the usual. Azumi meets other girls, and the quiet ones turn out to be just as stubborn as she is. Training starts, and it hurts. The treaty is thin, though, and the worlds on the other side are not finished with each other. What happens when the ceasefire breaks, and the girl who can barely stand has to fight?
