In Tokyo, a stolen car turns up with a pile of illegal guns stashed inside. Traffic lights go haywire across the city. An old WWII bomb surfaces, hackers hit from nowhere, and a weapons deal goes down right in the middle of everything. At Bokutou Precinct, the worst they usually handle is a sports car going too fast. Then Miyuki and Natsumi come back from a year of training, one in criminal investigations, one in traffic, and the department finally breathes. Inspectors from central headquarters are already moving in. The two officers dig in from day one, Miyuki with her little Mini-Pat, Natsumi with sheer stubborn grit. But the mess isn't random. Someone out there is pulling strings, poking at every weak spot in the system to bring Tokyo to its knees, and maybe the rest of the world with it. Can a traffic cop and her partner really outsmart a mind that's already inside every machine in the city?
