Saitama just wants a quiet afternoon, maybe a good fight if one happens to wander into his neighborhood. It never does. So when the Hero Association starts panicking about the rising number of monsters and gets the bright idea to recruit actual criminals, a guy named Garou shows up at the meeting and starts beating everyone senseless. He calls himself a monster. He used to be Silverfang's best student. Now he is hunting heroes for reasons nobody can figure out. Meanwhile Saitama hears about a martial arts tournament with a cash prize and signs up, mostly for the money. While he is busy punching his way through the bracket, Garou is out there crushing every hero who gets in his way. And somewhere in the background, something much worse is waking up. The kind of thing a famous fortune teller warned everyone about before she died. Is this the disaster she saw coming, or just the warm-up?
