Five friends stood in a school gym once, hearts pounding, watching their own clumsy little cartoon flicker on a screen at the culture festival. Aoi, Ema, Midori, Shizuka, and Misa swore they would come back to this feeling. Together, someday, in the big city. But the industry does not hand out invitations. Two and a half years later Aoi runs errands at a studio, chasing schedules and missing sleep. Ema draws until her hand cramps. Shizuka waits by a phone that will not ring. Misa builds car parts in 3D and hates it. Midori fills notebooks with stories nobody has asked to read yet. Aoi's days blur into phone calls and deadlines and a producer who vanishes when things go wrong. Still, somewhere under the exhaustion, that old promise flickers. She keeps a photo of the five of them. One night, a small task lands on her desk that nobody else wants. It could be nothing. It could be everything. Can five people who barely see each other anymore still make good on a promise they made when they were kids?
