Miyuki and Natsumi share an apartment, a patrol car, and a habit of finishing each other's sentences. By day they chase speeders and purse snatchers through the streets around Bokuto station. By night they argue over whose turn it is to cook. Then a panty thief starts using tech that makes Miyuki's gadgets look like toys, and the paperwork gets weird fast. The station house has its usual crowd of oddballs, but the cases turn stranger with every shift. A routine traffic stop goes sideways. A small-time crook turns out to be running something much bigger. Miyuki drives like she was born behind the wheel and Natsumi hits like she was born in a bar fight, and more than once the only way to close a case is to bend a rule or three. So what happens when two cops who know every shortcut in the city run into a criminal who knows them too?
