A whole year has passed since Aoba first walked through the doors at Eagle Jump, and she's already got one released game behind her: a sequel to a title players have loved for ages. Not bad for a rookie. In the design department nothing ever really changes. Kou keeps flashing her underwear, Hajime is laughing at something, Hifumi is hiding behind her monitor again, and Yun somehow makes the whole mess look elegant. Then the studio announces a contest. Whoever wins gets to design the characters for the next project. Aoba, with Kou in her corner, pours everything into it and actually takes first place, which means a promotion to lead character designer. Sounds like a dream. It isn't. The hours get longer, the workload piles up, and a quiet doubt creeps in: what if she's not the one who should be holding this job? Her friends and coworkers keep her going while she stumbles through her inexperience, all so Eagle Jump's new cutesy game, Peco, can actually get made. But can a girl barely past her first year really carry a whole project on her shoulders?
