Aoba Suzukaze has been drawing characters from Fairies Story since she was a kid, and now that high school is over, she walks straight into Eagle Jump, the studio that makes the game she grew up loving. First day on the job, and the big news drops: she's on Fairies Story 3, working under Kou Yagami, the very lead designer she's been sketching in her notebooks for years. Not bad for someone who still gets mistaken for a schoolgirl on the train. Then she meets her desk neighbors. A monster designer. A woman who won't speak out loud and pings her coworkers instead. A figurine hoarder from the animation team. The art director who keeps everyone in line, a boss who brings her cat to meetings, and a programmer with a fuse about as long as a paperclip. Somewhere between redrawing a background for the tenth time and chasing bugs nobody can reproduce, Aoba has to prove she belongs on this team, not just in the fan art folder. Can a rookie who still can't quite believe she's here grow into the designer she's always dreamed of being?
