Iruma Suzuki is fourteen, and his parents have never once acted like parents. They take his paycheck, they blow it, and then one day they go further: they sell their own son to a demon named Sullivan. Iruma braces for chains, fire, something awful. Instead the old demon looks at him with wet eyes and asks, plain and simple, if he will be his grandson. So now Iruma lives in the underworld, spoiled rotten and enrolled at Babyls, a school full of demons who would eat a human alive. He tries to sit in the back, keep his head down, be nobody. That plan dies fast. Sullivan runs the whole school, and because of that, every demon on campus figures Iruma is next in line to be the Demon King. Then he opens his mouth during a school ceremony and chants a forbidden spell in front of everybody, and his quiet little life is over for good. He is stuck now, famous for something he never asked for, surrounded by demons who either worship him or want to fight him. How long can a human kid keep a secret like that in a school built for monsters?
