The school is getting ready for its culture festival, and Shuuichi Azuma should be too. Instead he walks away from baseball, the sport he has played since he was small, and his best friend Kenta Saijou takes it badly. Their fight is still fresh when a girl appears in town with a strange necklace around her neck. Nobody knows her name. She says it is Noruda. Then lightning hits an electrical tower. The power dies across the whole school, and Azuma spots her up there, falling. He runs out into the rising wind to catch her, mostly because he cannot stand being in the same room as Saijou for one more minute. Typhoon No. 8 is already swallowing the island, and this Noruda girl arrived right along with it. What is she doing here, and what does the storm actually want with her?
