Miyo Sasaki is loud, stubborn, and completely hopeless around Kento Hinode, the quiet classmate she has been chasing since forever. Her home life is a mess: a dad who can't stand up for himself and a stepmother who tries way too hard to be liked. School is no better. Every confession, every note, every stunt she pulls to get Kento to look her way just bounces off him. Then she finds a mask. Put it on and she turns into a fluffy white cat, and Kento, who ignores her completely as a girl, scoops her up, names her Tarou, and tells her things he would never say to a person. It's perfect, until it isn't. The mask starts to stick. Cat time starts to feel more like home than being Miyo ever did, and that's the part that scares her. She hears things as Tarou too. Kento's problems, the stuff he keeps bottled up, and she can't do a thing about any of it with paws. To actually help him she would have to walk up as herself and risk the one thing she has. Stay a cat and keep him close, or turn human and possibly lose him for good?
