Thirty strangers climb onto one bus, each carrying private grief and the same stubborn hope: that Nanaki Village is real. A place off every map, where the police have nothing on file and nobody has ever come back with proof. They trade rumors the whole way into the mountains. Some say it is paradise. Some say it does not exist at all. Then the bus stops, and the village is right there. Empty. Roofs caving in, weeds through the floorboards, at least a year without a single resident. Nobody is waiting for them. That is when people start wandering off and not coming back, and someone finds deep claw marks in the trees, slick and red. Thirty people with no leader and no exit now have to decide who to trust. Accusations fly faster than answers, old grudges surface, and the group tears itself apart while the forest watches. Something in Nanaki Village wanted them here. But if the perfect life was never the point, what was?
