Alma Tandoji keeps to himself. At seventeen he's the kid everyone at school avoids, the one who eats alone and walks home alone. He used to have a magic stone. He also used to have friends, until the power inside it tore through his own body and wrecked everyone around him. So he quit. Left home, stopped talking, stopped trying. Then a red-haired girl named Ruri shows up at his door with a butler and a small army of maids, and she isn't there to be polite. She knows what's buried in him, the Sacred Seven, and she wants him to hand it over. He slams the door in her face. He's done being the weapon. Except something else has already arrived in his quiet Kanto town: a demon born of a Dark Stone, shrugging off anything the authorities throw at it. The only thing that can touch it is the power Alma just swore off. So he lets loose, and it goes wrong immediately, the force spilling out wild and uncontrolled, and Ruri has to raise her own gemstone and offer up her soul to pull his real strength out of the wreckage. That's where the two of them stand now, one girl's wish burned into a stone and one boy who still doesn't know if he can hold himself back. Can he?
