Gorou Honda walks off the field after his last high school game against Kaido, and for once there is nothing left to prove. He says goodbye to Kaoru and the rest of the team, packs his bags, and boards a plane. The kid who once dreamed of the Japanese league is now aiming for something much bigger: the Major Leagues in America. The trouble starts the moment he arrives. The players here are faster, stronger, and hungrier, and the baseball itself feels foreign. So Gorou does what he always does. He fights his way into the minors, a brutal grind where everyone is clawing for the same shot at the big leagues. Between the culture shock, the fierce rivals, and the friends who have his back, he has to claw his way up one level at a time. He is not the best anymore, not even close. So how far can a stubborn kid from Japan really go?
