Tatsuya Yoigoshi used to be the star of his middle school soccer team. Now he streams from his room and wants nothing to do with sports. Then Souma Azemichi barges into one of his livestreams and starts pitching him on kabaddi, a game Tatsuya has never even heard of. He tags along to the gym just to laugh at it. What he sees instead stops him cold: two second years slamming into each other, holding their breath, wrestling for ground like it's a fight, not a game. He still thinks the rules are ridiculous. He also can't look away. Souma and the others want him on the team, and they aren't taking no for an answer. A deal gets dangled, some pressure gets applied, and suddenly Tatsuya is agreeing to settle the whole thing the only way that makes sense to these guys: one match. Empty hands, no ball, just bodies and breath. He walked in a skeptic. So what happens when the guy who swore off sports steps onto the mat?
