Eight kids got swallowed by the dark once. No warning, no way back. They found each other in that endless black, clung together, and then it spat them out into their own world like nothing had happened. Years pass. They grow up, or try to. Then the monsters start crawling out of the same void, and the only thing that can stand against them is a machine called a Vess. So the eight of them get pulled back in, older now, strangers again, and every battle buys them a little time while the darkness keeps eating more of the map. Then something worse shows up. A Corpse. It sings, and anyone who hears that song is supposed to be dead inside nine days. They all hear it. That is when the group starts coming apart, each one sinking into their own mess, old wounds and new secrets, until nobody is watching the real threat anymore. The clock is running on all of them. The void keeps spreading, the song is already in their heads, and the people who are supposed to save everyone can barely look at each other. So what breaks first: the world, or the eight of them?
