Kaze no Matasaburou

FantasySlice of Life1988MadhouseRating 5,90+HD

A quiet red-haired boy named Saburo Takada transfers into a small country school, and right away something feels off. His looks, his name, the way he just appears out of nowhere in this backwater town. The kids do what kids do: they decide he must be Matasaburou, the child god who rides in with the winds at the start of typhoon season. So they start calling him that. Turns out he is just a regular kid. They play together in the fields, kill whole days in the countryside, and the nickname sticks anyway. Maybe it sticks a little too well. Then the wind picks up. One gusty day Saburo heads back to the city, and his friends are left standing there with a story they cannot quite explain. Was he ever really just a transfer student? Or did the Wind Imp finally catch a ride home?
